Spicy Teriyaki Shrimp
12 tablespoons Smart Balance margarine
4 cups low sodium soy sauce
4 cups bottled water
4 cups packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground ginger
2
teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons white pepper
1 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
Melt margarine in small cooking pot. Add all ingredients and bring
to boil stirring often (cook about 10 minutes). Let cool & add
shrimp to marinade. Marinate shrimp overnight in refrigerator. If
the marinade does not cover all of the shrimp, add water to adjust.
Coating:
8 cups skim milk
4 cups of Louisiana Seasoned Fish Fry
2 cups buttermilk pancake mix
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons white pepper
In large bowl mix all dry ingredients. In separate bowl, dredge
shrimp thoroughly in milk and then coat. Stir vigorously for 45
seconds, remove shrimp and coat the remaining.
Fry in canola oil until light golden brown color.
