Cooking Louisiana - Grilled Oysters

Grilled Oysters are great either on a charcoal pit or gas grill. You can also do them in the oven which is what I've done this time.

If you shuck your own oysters you can cook them right in the shell. If not, you can do them in aluminum foil, but, use a little oyster juice to cook them in..

You can vary the recipes for this so don't hesitate to be creative. Cooking time depends on heat level and oyster size. Add smoking woods to the charcoal pit for a great flavor.

Recipe

Remove Oyster from shell and add a pinch of Creole seasoning to the shell. Replace Oyster and top with a 3 - 5 drops Olive Oil, a pinch of Italian seasoning, a pinch of creole seasoning and top with a sprinkle of Parmesan Cheese.

Place on hot grill until edges curl, or about 15 minutes (depends how hot the fire is) or bake at about 375ºF till done.
